I'm totally lying. It was terrible. Myla started screaming before everyone had even finished boarding. I had a bottle with me for takeoff, and one for landing, but Little Miss had gotten hungry before we even got on the plane. Fail. I was sitting next to a large man who had to put one knee on either side of the seat in front of him because of how tall he was. I prefer not to bring unwanted attention upon myself-- I like to just blend in wherever I go. I also happen to be one of the most modest people in the world, and let me tell ya, it's not fun to pull out a boob when you're basically touching a man you don't know in the seat next to you. No lie, Myla's feet were touching this man. Fun times. She stopped screaming for about thirty minutes of that flight. Awesome. The trip back was significantly better. I wore the kiddo in her "sack" and swayed back and forth for about... an hour and a half. Then she fell asleep, PTL. We will wait to take the next plane trip until she is 15 or so.
But, we did have a lovely time in Wisconsin! The funniest thing that happened was Myla's bathtime. Dave is the official bath giver around here. We didn't have any fancy bath contraptions with us, so she just laid on a towel, which was fine. But for some reason, Dave didn't just kneel next to the tub-- too overprotective, I guess. Instead, this was how he decided to position himself:
And of course, we celebrated Jesus on Easter! He is risen!
Luckily, my wonderful mother bought me a dress because I'm too fat to fit into the ones I have. Thanks, mama.
P.S. This is so completely off-topic, but I'm so glad the royal couple's first public kiss was just as awkward and quick as Dave's and mine!
That is a beautiful family photo! I am so glad that you guys had a safe trip and wonderful Easter!
