Needs Practice

As soon as we got back from Italy, I started feverishly trying to complete all of the tasks I had to do in order to become Mrs. Livingston (name changes, etc.).

By day 3 at home, I made my way over to the DPS for a new license.  It actually went much quicker than I anticipated, and it only took 40 minutes to get through the 7 people in front of me... Anyway, I did the stuff, got the picture, and had to make a temporary license until my new one comes in the mail.  Problem: I haven't really practiced signing my new name, and "Livingston" is slightly longer and loopier than "Kemp."  I think I did pretty well on the signature for the real license, but this is how the temporary one turned out:

If you can't tell, I panicked and accidentally skipped an entire letter "i," but then still put a dot there to try and cover the mistake.  At the end of it all, it looks a little more like "Livngstan" than "Livingston."  Whoopsies.

  1. No worries. When I sign my name I usually leave out the i anyway and dot the second half of the u. That is how you know it is real and not someone trying to steal my identity!
