1. How do you feel about Valentine’s Day?
I don't feel really strongly about it either way. I think it's always nice to show someone you love them, so if Valentine's Day is a reason to do something special, then what's wrong with that?
2. Are you in love?
Yes.
3. What is your favorite love song?
Baby Got Back
4. Did your parents do anything for you on Valentine’s Day when you were a child?
I have no idea. I generally don't have a great memory... When we were older, like high-school aged, I remember my dad took all his girls out for a fancy dinner since we were all freshly dumped or something. It was sort of like a broken hearts night, except my mom wasn't broken hearted. He gave us these sweet little speeches. It was nice.
5. What is your love language? (Click here if you want to take the quiz.)
Apparently, I tied for words of affirmation and quality time. So if you don't have a lot of time to spend with me, just tell me nice things, and we should be good.
6. How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day? Gifts? Dinner?
We usually stay in. This year we are having homemade pizza night, which I love because Dave is the pizza chef, and he hasn't screwed one up yet. As far as gifts, this is what I got Dave this year:
We go all out.
7. What is your favorite flower?
I don't really know anything about flowers, but I do like tulips because they're pretty.
8. What is your favorite love story? (Book and/or movie.)
This is really tough. Much like with songs, there are so many great stories that I love for all different reasons. I guess I will say Redeeming Love, because once I got into it, it kept me up at night trying to find out how it ends. Also, it's a love story that parallels God's love for us, so that's kind of hard to beat. I also loved The Kite Runner. Although parts of it were downright depressing, the story of redemption made me bawl like a baby at the ending.
9. What is the most romantic thing someone has ever done for you? Or you have done for someone?
Dave married me, and I thought that was pretty romantic.
10. How did you meet your spouse/significant other?
I met him through my sister who met him through her best friend, Andy. My sister and Dave lived in the same apartment complex, and he texted her "Pancakes?" one morning while I was staying with her one weekend while I was still in college. I didn't try any of the pancakes, though. If I had, we probably would have started dating a lot sooner.
Saw you on "Roots and Rings"...low key...best way to spend V-Day!
ReplyDeleteKona Brewing is pretty much all anyone drinks here. I would love anyone who got it for me on V Day. I also for sure thought your favorite love song would be T Pain's In Love with a Stripper. Because it reminded you of me. And our early morning drives to weights during rowing.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I forgot about T Pain! And I would love to get you some Kona brew anytime you can come visit!
